Visiting Tulum Was Like Sinking Into the Earth
The Art Walk goes through a circuit designed by Tulum Art Club immersed in the middle of the jungle. Here you can see murals and installations from different international artists, which have been inspired by the mysticism of the Caribbean lands, in the connection of the universe and its different dimensions. You will find surreal murals and sculptures surrounded by wild nature, impregnated with vivid colours that create a magical and inspiring journey.” – Tulum Art Club
The jungle art walk was a more deeply meaningful experience with the guided and curated Tulum Jungle walk with the Tulum art Club. We were able to hear the artists’ stories and pause to chat in what we each saw in the murals.
The Fragments of Time Gate mural by Interesni Kazki was deeply engaging and exquisitely beautiful weaving layers of stories.

I’ve titled that piece Time Gate. It is dedicated to the time relativity and different ways of perception of it – in different cultures, of different people. That difference is very actual nowdays, when some people live and work in modern techogenic megapolices, in very hurry lifestyle and others- in small abondoned towns which are not changing for ages, live slow and simple way of life of their ancestors, without any modern techologies.. While I was working on that, I’ve realised that time in the jungle flow in a different way from time in the city. Maybe this perception of time was one of the roots of Mayan civilization. It is still possible to notice difference of attitude to the time of local mayan people and the tourist people. Time Gate – structure built in Q.Roo jungle and painted entire. Acrylic painting and ink drawing technique. Follow link in my profile info to find much more photos and info about this project… Thanks to my ❤️ @yuliapil for supporting me in this work.
